Budapest is a unique city in more than one ways. For those who love spa and wellness, it is unique for being the only large city in the world, which abounds in fountains of healing water. 70 million liters of 21-78 Celsius warm thermal water spring forth daily from its 118 natural thermal springs.
Budapest can rightly be called the city of spas, and the Szechenyi Bath and Spa was its first thermal baths on the Pest side. The honourable title of our capital is not a usual one. The denomination is an indication, similar to those distinguished titles awarded to high-grade families or communities, of the recognition and a privilege to its bearer.
