The Castle built in baroque style was the home of the Apponyi family in the 18th century. It is surrounded by the beautiful knolls of the county Tolna in the middle of a 5.5 acres big park, where you can forget about all your problems far away from the busy city life.

31  rooms are waiting for you in our newly refurbished castle. 4 de luxe, 16 standard and 11 superior double rooms are available on the two levels of the castle. Two of the superior bedrooms are specially equipped for people with disabilities. The furniture, the equipment and the atmosphere of all rooms just as the building itself are elegant but moderate at the same time.

Every room has got a television, a minibar, a telephone, a safe and there is a hairdryer in every bathroom. The reception is open 24 hours a day and there is a room service available for our guests.  Most of the rooms are non-smoking, so please smoke in the coffee bar.

Room types:

De luxe double room  (34-60 m2): bedroom, sitting room and a bathroom. There is a double bed in the bedroom; there are two single beds in the sitting room. The bathroom is available either with a shower or with a bathtub.

Superior double room (30-43 m2): bathroom with a shower or with a bathtub and an extra bed can be put in the room.

Standard double room (18-30 m2): bathroom with a shower, extra bed is not available.

The water of the Clara fountain flushes from 800 m deep. It is waiting for the guests who would like to preserve their health or would like to be on the mend. The Territorial Health Resort and Spa Directorate General authorised the Clara’s spring medicinal healing water in December 2003. Therefore the Count Apponyi Castle Hotel became the unique castle hotel with four stars in Hungary that owns qualified medicinal healing water.

The 51.5 °C hot water contains natrium cloride and hydrogen-carbonate. It fosters 2 devious temperature (36 and 38 °C) pools in the hotel’s SPA.
